TREATMENT OF PRIMARY TOOTH DECAY
Kids therapies
DO WE HAVE TO TREAT PRIMARY TEETH?
The dental caries are very common in childhood, and due to the structure of the primary tooth, the course of deterioration is much faster than in the case of remaining teeth, so it is very important to consult a dentist with a starting caries also.
Unfortunately, we still have the misconception that the caries of primary teeth do not need to be cared for, as they are just "temporary" teeth, but they do! It is a huge mistake to think this way, because the decayed primary teeth can cause severe pain to the child just like the remaining teeth. If you need to pull them out, then you have to make sure that the remaining teeth have space to grow out.
TREATMENT OF DECAYED PRIMARY TEETH
The smaller the caries, the easier the treatment. When there is still little erosion on the surface of the primary tooth, it is sufficient to grind it and then apply it with a fluoride lacquer.
In case of increased caries, filling should be carried out. Of course, the infected part must be removed beforehand. Often fluoride-containing filler is used to strengthen the enamel and prevent secondary caries.
IS ROOT CANAL TREATMENT POSSIBLE IN PRIMARY TEETH?
Particularly neglected, deep caries often lead to inflammation of the pulp, which can lead to a very painful, feverish condition. In such cases, root canal treatment is required. This is not the same as in the case of permanent teeth, as the germ of the remaining tooth may be damaged, so only the coronal part of the pulp is cleaned and filled with zinc eugenol paste. Occasionally antibiotic treatment may be required. Removing the tooth will only be a last event, as the space for the remaining teeth should be kept.

PAINLESS TREATMENTS
Whatever treatment we do, it is a paramount importance that your child does not feel any pain during treatment. To do this, we often do not use drills but other tools to remove the decay, which does not produce heat, which is the most common cause of pain. If anesthesia is needed, even the insertion site is numbed with a special gel and a computer-controlled, extruded needle, pain-free anesthetic device is used.
Regularly check your child's teeth! Book an appointment for a health check!
TRUST
In the case of children, it is even more important to have trust in the doctor who carries out the treatment. All of our dentists are extremely patient, empathic, smiling, friendly, and they have a calm effect on children.
Of course, after the treatment, the reward cannot be lost.
FIRST OF ALL, PREVENTION
A dental visit, especially if something is wrong, fills the child with fear. Unknown people, machines, noises… Never take the child to the dentist for the first time when treatment is needed!
With our curriculum, you can prepare playfully for any subsequent interventions from the age of 2.
More important to prevent trouble! The Mazsola Dental Care program provides excellent help for both children and parents.
